The Tee Shot

This is another birdie chance, with the hole very driveable, with a 3 wood sometimes good enough in the summer. The main hazard which needs to be avoided is the ditch which runs down the right hand side of the hole. This ditch is always a risk on this hole. In the summer anything to the right can end up in the ditch as once the ball starts rolling towards the ditch it is downhill, even with the rough to stop it. There is also a bush which is just to the right of the line of the green. This is only a small bush and does not normally come into play. If you go left on the hole there is no trouble, other than the 14th green so be aware of players coming up that hole. There is a lot of space on this hole, and no matter where you finish you will have a shot to the green, unless you end up in the ditch or bush.

The Approach

The approach to the green is not to bad, although there are two tricky bunkers to watch out for. There is one on the left and one on the right. These bunkers both have steep lips, and can be very difficult to escape, let alone get the ball closeto the flag. You will normally have a shot to the green, although depending on the flag you might not ba able to fully attack the flag. When playing onto the green you must try and get past the first ridge that runs in between the two bunkers. If you fall short of this you will have a tough putt.

The Green

This green can be very tough to putt on. There are a number of large slopes, mainly in the areas where the bunkers sit. If the flag is on the back left of the green you should not have to tricky a putt, but anywhere else and your putt will break a lot if you dont put the ball in the best position. As mentioned you must not be short of the first ridge if the flag is in the middle or at the back. This hole can easily be 3 putted, due to the nature and severity of some of the slopes and breaks of the putts.
