3rd Hole
The Tee Shot
The third hole is another dog leg to the left, and this is a much more substantial dog leg. The hole is reachable for the longer hitter, and in the summer can be reached with a 3 wood. By attempting to drive the green you do take a risk as to reach the green you would have to carry the ball most of the way. In between the tee and the green on the left there is a large area full of trees. If you attempt to drive the green and do not catch it well you will end up in these. There is also trouble on the right of the hole, with a number of trees and then a water hazard further down which is very in play for a slice off the tee. You also need to watch out for the two large trees in the middle of the fairway. An ideal tee shot would be to the corner where the two big trees sit, which will leave about 80-100 yards left.
The Approach
The approach from the corner in the fairway will see you needing to avoid the bunker that is at the front right of the green, and the other bunker which site in the middle of the green just off to the left. These bunkers are both located in tricky positions to avoid, and depending on where the flag is you might be best to play safe for a part of the green where the bunkers will not be in play. There is plently of space if you miss the green in either direction.
The Green
The green slopes from the back to the front, and there is a very large hill at one point in the green. There is very rarely an easy putt on the green, due to the sloping from the back to the front, and also because the green tends to slope from the left to the right, especially where the bunker is.
