The Tee Shot

As you can see from the scorecard, there are two yardages. One is for the summer tee and one is for the winter tee. Both of these tees are a tricky tee shot, although the winter tee does give more of a bail out option to the right down the 11th hole. From the tee on this hole you have the out of bounds down the left which carries on from the 8th, and you have a ditch which runs all the way down the hole on the right. The ditch does kick out when you get to out 240 yards, although it is still very much in play. Once again you are out of bounds if you are over the road. There is a point where the road comes back round accorss the fairway. At this point there is a yellow piece of tape around one of the white posts. Once you get to this point the white posts become out of bounds, so before this tape it is the road, after this tape is the white posts. There is also a fairway bunker which needs to be avoided. The bigger hitter can drive the green in the summer with a tail wind.

The Approach

There is a lot of space around this green, other than for the two bunkers. Both of these bunkers are very tricky to escape, with steep lips making it very hard to get the ball close. Other than these there is nothing else that will come into play. There is a lot of rough around the green, which will make chipping that bit harder, but the rough is not to difficult to escape from and get club on ball.

The Green

This green can be tricky to read. There is a large slope in the middle of the green that can make judging pace tricky, while the slope that comes off the left bunker can also cause problems reading putts. If the flag is on the back tier and you end up on that tier, the putt you have should not be too difficult. The front tier will cause more problems, but no matter where the flag is you must end up on the correct tier to give yourself a chance of making birdie.
