Daily Mail Foursomes Pair 2009

The Daily Mail Foursomes sees one pair from the golf club play foursomes. The competition is national, with clubs from all accross the country playing in the competition. The early rounds are kept local, with the organisers trying not to make people travel to great a distance. Each match is 18 holes, and if the match is halved you play sudden death extra holes. This competition is ran and organised by The Daily Mail.

Sun 22nd March 2009 Western Park Away Lost

Round 1

The first round of the Daily Mail Foursomes saw Oadby play Western Park away. The pair that played was Tidge Gharial and Ed Eley. Unfortunately the team lost. On the day they just came up against a side who played slightly better golf around their own course. Western Park is not the easiest place to go and get a result, and the fact that Eley and Gharial had not played together in foursomes before made the task slightly harder.
