If you are looking to join a golf club, and not pay excessive prices, have a friendly atmosphere, and be able to have great food at the end of your round, Oadby Golf Club is the perfect place for you. With a number of competitions played with drawn partners to allow greater social interaction, there is no better place to enjoy your golf, get better at golf and have a fantastic time all at the same time. Oadby also have a new teaching professional, who will be more than happy to help you improve your game. You will also be able to access results, handicaps and various other club news online soon after the weekend of the competition.

Oadby Golf Course is a municipal course, with the actual golf course ran by Oadby & Wigston Borough Council, who lease the course out from the Racecourse. The golf club is ran by the members of the club, which means you will be able to get all the benefits of being a member of a golf club without having to pay excessive prices, as you pay a separate price for you membership and green fees. If you are looking to become a member of a club and gain a handicap, but you might not be looking to play a great deal of golf, Oadby Golf Club is perfect for you. For the price of £75 a year for adult members (plus a one off price of £10), and a very cheap £15 a year (no extra cost) for juniors, you will be able to:

Get an offical CONGU handicap.Access the facilities of the members end.Play in club competitions including the large number of 'Gold Letter' competitions available all year round, with all weekends during the months of March to September being taken up by competitions, with further competitions running all the way up until Christmas.Join in with the large number of social activites that take place.Gain affiliation to the English Golf Union.

Regardless of your age or sex there is something for you at the club. There are a number of competitions for the adult male members of the club, but in addition to this there are great sections for the seniors, ladies and junior members, with a number of competitions and matches on offer for all of these sections. There are also a number of mixed matches that are played both internally within the golf club and externally against other clubs. Some of the above facilites are only available once you have paid for your green fees for either a round or the whole year.

As mentioned you pay for your membership and green fees separate, which means you can gain a handicap and be able to play in club compeitions for £75 a year. This price of £75 does not allow you to play on the course until you have paid for your green fees. The green fees can be paid for yearly or you can pay whenever you turn up to play on the course. The green fee prices are also not excessive, and if you were to pay for them yearly in advance you would be able to play unlimited golf and be a member of the club for approximately £550 a year. There are various prices for the green fees season tickets depending on factors such as age and whether or not you are a student. If you are a junior, prices are even cheaper, with membership costing just £15, and a yearly season ticket costing roughly £90. This would mean that as a junior you can be a member of a golf club and play unlimited golf for the year for just over £100. This is a fantastic price and with the fantastic junior section we have, the juniors are sure to have a good time. We also run junior social evenings, which allow the juniors to socialise even more, and these evenings are a fantastic success, with all juniors having a good time.
